The Short Programme in Fares International – Beginners introduces you to the world of the travel industry. By using extracts from selected industry publication, learners will be taught how to price and document various itineraries, according to the customer’s requirements.

Short Programmes upgrade skills and knowledge to ensure success in a chosen field of learning, but are not credit bearing.

DURATION

The programme duration is 80 hours and tuition is face-to-face. Each Damelin campus has a different tuition schedule. Programmes are offered during the week, in the evenings, or on Saturdays.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, comprehension and application of English language and Mathematical literacy at Grade 11 or equivalent.

Admission may be subject to an interview with an academic staff member.

It is recommended that learners have relevant occupational experience.

LEARNER MATERIAL

All prescribed material is included. A list of learner material will be provided by your nearest Damelin campus’ academic department.

PRICING

Enquire at your nearest Damelin campus for a current programme pricelist.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

External exam fees are included for the first attempt; thereafter learners will be responsible for the payment of any reassessment to the relevant assessment bodies.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of the programme, the learner will receive the Fares International – Beginners Certificate from the external provider.

FURTHER STUDIES

Please enquire at the nearest Damelin campus for the prospectus containing post-certificate studies.

*Whenever Damelin offers training towards a programme that will be awarded by another provider or institute, it is called an Agent Programme. In the case of an Agent Programme, Damelin registers the learners, provides tuition and conducts internal assessments. External examinations with the agent body will result in learners receiving the certificate from them.
